    Greetings CUFA Colleagues,

After months of preparation, #CUFA18 week is finally upon us. I want to welcome you all to Chicago for this year's annual meeting. There are insightful workshops, sessions, and informal learning opportunities in store for social studies educator-researchers this week. Attached is a final version of the program with a table of contents added. The PDF copy as well as the electronic version of the program contain the most up-to-date information on presentations as there are always last-minute cancelations and requested changes. Here are a few more reminders for this week:

    • With the exception of our closing reception, all CUFA conference events/sessions will be held on the lower level in the east tower of the Hyatt Regency (151 E. Upper Wacker Drive). Registration desks and conference information desks are also located in the foyer area of the lower level.
    • Rooms for the CUFA conference include a typical AV setup: projector, screen, and microphone. Our sessions will take place in the Columbus Rooms, Grand Ballroom A, and Grand Ballroom B. Grand Ballroom D (the CUFA lounge) is reserved for informal meeting spaces and will include table tops and roundtables.
    • A lactation room with a refrigerator is available in Grand Suite 4. The room will have children's literature and other child friendly options. To request a key for the room, please visit the registration desk.
    • I will have chart paper and markers available for presenters who may need these materials for their presentations.
    • A daily CUFA reminder will be emailed to members via the CUFA listserv.

See you all on Wednesday morning/early afternoon. Remember, David Stovall is opening our conference at 1:10pm!

    Safe travels,

    Chris Busey
