Here are 2 great FREE online programs to share with students/parents. Both are from the University of Arizona Center for Middle Eastern Studies (CMES).
- CMES is hosting a virtual Middle Eastern-North African cultural festival with sessions on dance, story-telling, Turkish wedding traditions, language exposure, etc. for elementary - secondary students (different sessions, different levels). The sessions will be held on May 1 and will be live-streamed through Zoom. It is free to attend, but you must pre-register - and space is limited. For a lot more information, go to:

There will be classes on Arabic, Moroccan Sephardic Jewish, Persian, and Turkish cuisine - with ingredient lists provided in advance so that people can cook along.
