Please join us on 7-8 April for an unusual and provocative conference devoted to historicizing our own moment. Keynote speakers include renowned historian of capitalism, the Gilded Age, and the American West Richard White (Stanford University), and Emmy-winning documentary filmmaker Ramita Navai (PBS and Channel 4).

Conference sessions will be devoted to war in the 21st century, climate change, threats to democracy, technology and misinformation, and the role of education in an age of upheaval.

Registration space is limited. Book early!

Full conference program and registration details are on the conference website: Teaching the 21st Century | Boys Boarding High School with Trades, Science, Art Training

"There is no period so remote as the recent past." -Alan Bennett, The History Boys (2004) This conference aims to make sense of the twenty-first century, contribute to scholarship about it, affect how it's taught, and historicize events over its first two decades. Attendance is open to teachers, academics, school administrators, and policy makers.
