Research Study - Teaching Social Justice in Divisive Concept Law States

  • 1.  Research Study - Teaching Social Justice in Divisive Concept Law States

My name is Chris Martell and I am a professor at UMass Boston. My colleague Kaylene Stevens and I are doing a research study comparing social justice-oriented teachers in states with "divisive concept" laws and those in state without those laws. The study would take place over the next school year (with an introductory interview this spring). It would be confidential (and pseudonyms would be used for your name and school in all research reports).

If you are a social justice-oriented classroom teacher in a divisive concept state (or not) and are interested in participating in this study, could you e-mail me at christopher.martell@umb.edu. We will then send you more information on the study (including an Informed Consent Form).

    Thank you,
    Chris
