    Hello,

    Please allow me to introduce myself as the new communications associate for NCSS. My name is Xavier Frink, and it is nice to meet you! National Council for the Social Studies (NCSS) is pleased to announce our first-ever Virtual Conference on December 4-6, 2020! 

     

    This three-day virtual gathering of social studies educators, administrators, and specialists will feature the theme of "Advancing Social Justice." The #NCSS2020 Virtual Conference is the hottest conference of the season featuring renowned keynote speakers Chelsea Clinton, George Takei, Nikole Hannah-Jones, Yamiche Alcindor, Ken Burns, Charlie Sykes, and several others. You still have time to register with the link below!

    The scholarship provides free registration to attend the upcoming NCSS Virtual Conference (Dec 4-6) to teachers who have never been able to attend an NCSS conference.

    The NCSS First Timers Scholarship is being offered for the NCSS 2020 Virtual Conference Dec 4-6. The scholarship provides free registration to attend the upcoming NCSS Virtual Conference (Dec 4-6) to teachers who have never been able to attend an NCSS conference.
     
    We  hope you will spread the word there is an additional private donor who is sponsoring FTS for teachers of color. Could you please spend the word to your membership and educational institutions in your state there are additional funds for teachers from underrepresented groups. Their application needs to explain they qualify for that additional funding. 
    Here is the link to the FTS application for all applicants. We have extended the deadline to Sunday Nov 22 for the online application.
