    The NCTA National Coordinating Site at TEA is offering several live discussion
    forums, book groups, and short online courses over the next weeks. Registration is
    now open at the Program for Teaching East Asia website.

    Live discussions: The Journey Home: Contemporary Chinese Films. (3 PD
    hours/film) May 18 and June 1. Three individual film offerings will be structured for home-viewing prior to live webinar discussion via Zoom. All films available online. Time commitment: Approximately 2 hours viewing; 1hour discussion per film. Register for one or two.
           > The Last Train Home. A Look at Migrant Workers and Family Life.  Viewing window: Prior to May 18.

    Asynchronous online Children's Literature Book Group: The Sound of Silence. May  8-June 3.
    Explore the sounds and sights of contemporary Tokyo in this three-module"light" course for K-6 teachers featuring the picture book, The Sound of Silence by Katrina Goldsaito and illustrated by Julia Kuo.
